Travel: Across the Pond

Liberty State Park
New Jersey

Based on every joke I've ever heard of New Jersey, the joke is clearly on New Jersey. Poor New Jersey. They try so hard yet apparently are appreciated so little. But gosh darn it if they don't have a beautiful view of a beautiful city. I don't know much about New Jersey and in general don't really care to know much more. But I do know they have a very nice park featuring prominent views of a place the entire world knows so much about.

Travel: That NY Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge
New York City

So many people have photographed this bridge it's almost scary. If the people that believe photos take a little piece of your soul are correct, the Brooklyn Bridge sadly has the least amount of soul of any bridge I can think of.

Travel: The Big Apple

New York City
May 2013

In the two trips to New York, I took too many pictures of New York. See what I did there? I'm so lame. But aside from witty word play, I actually did take way too many pictures in New York. But you never know how long it till take to get back to New York, so I had to capture as much as I could. Below you will see random shots from Rockefeller Center, Times Square and a beautiful church in between those two NY tourist hot spots. Also Elmo, you will see Elmo. Or what is an old man in an Elmo Costume. Don't tell the kids.

Travel: Amish Country

Lancaster, PA

The pace of life here is just about right.

Travel: Brotherly Love

Philadelphia, PA

Of the 4 main cities we traveled to, we spent the least amount of time in Philadelphia. The lack of photos reflects this fact. Basically we saw the Rocky steps, had a Philly Cheesesteak and got out of town.

Travel: Nations Capitol

National Mall
Washington DC

I went to the East Coast twice over the past two months. The first trip existed to help plan the second trip. The photos below of Washington DC, and in future posts of Philadelphia, Lancaster and New York, are a combination of both trips. I could explain which were from which trip, but it doesn't matter. You don't care.

Bellingham: Extended Hours

Waterfrontish Area
Bellingham, WA

The days are so long.

Bellingham: Youth Group

Big Field Games
Bellingham Covenant Church

When you put a group of middle/high school students in the same common area as buckets of colorful powder, great things are likely to happen.
